Treatment and Sessions

1

Initial  Treatment

In the first session, I will be able to pinpoint problem areas, areas of blockage, areas of inflammation and tension. This session typically takes 45-50 minutes, as I will gather background on your pet's health and behavior.  After the initial session, I can spend less time and concentrate on the areas pinpointed in the initial session.

2

Maintenance-Pre/Post Event Session

In a Maintenance Session, I will focus on problem areas discovered in the initial evaluation, as well as any target areas where you see the need. This typically lasts 30-45 minutes A 30 minute session is also a great way to prepare for an upcoming event/show/clinic or help recovery post- event.

3

Leg, Joint, Hoof  Session

This session focuses on the joints of the leg, the hock, stifle, fetlock, knee, and hoof

FAQ's

How does Magna Wave work?

When we are sick or injured, our cells stop functioning effectively, which is the basis of healthy muscle and joint movement and freedom. Magna wave works at the cellular level to enhance healing by increasing oxygenation and blood flow within and between cells, allowing cells to expel toxins and move freely within the body..

What happens during a session?

The practitioner will place the coils on your horse’s body and adjust the strength of the electromagnetic pulse according to your horse’s reaction to the treatment. Most horses like the treatment at the lower levels; often horses will become sleepy and relaxed and will respond with chewing and yawning.

What are the physical effects?

The blood oxygen is increased, lymphatic system is activated and acupuncture points are stimulated. This process reduces pain and inflammation and promotes healing. The oxygenation of the blood helps relieve inflammation, thus relieving pain and helping the body begin to heal itself naturally.

Should I ride my horse before or after treatment?

There is no recovery time required after a session. That said, your decision depends on your horse’s reaction to the treatment. I have found riding before the treatment to be more beneficial, as some horses are either extremely relaxed and unwilling to go right back to work, but others are a bit charged and feeling good enough to work.

How is Magna Wave different from other magnetic treatments like blankets and boots?

~ While the therapy is similar, MagnaWave is not a static magnet. The difference is in the delivery method, power and how MagnaWave PEMF yields a deeper penetration. The higher power of MagnaWave PEMF provides shorter treatment times and often immediate results. What the blankets can do in 2 to 3 weeks most MagnaWave machines can do in 10 minutes.

Can Magna Wave be used pre-event?

Yes, however, we recommend that you try Magna Wave ahead of time, since different horses/pets react differently to a session. We have found that some clients are more relaxed after the therapy, so they might not have the same edge before an event. Other clients are not affected in that way and are ready to perform.

Treatment POST-Event is extremely helpful in your horse’s physical recover.

What does it mean when my horse’s muscles/skin twitch during a session?

Muscle tissue palpitates in sensitive areas due to some type of resistance in the area & increased oxygenation and molecule movement in the cells. In other words, the pulsed magnetic field is encountering some blockage in cell activity and/or inflammation. There doesn’t need to be any visible reaction in order for your horse to be receiving the full benefits of the treatment
